HISTORY
Blyton Park has a unique history, originally serving as RAF Blyton, a World War II airfield used by the Royal Air Force. Constructed in 1942, the site was primarily home to bomber aircraft, including Wellington and Lancaster squadrons, playing a crucial role in wartime aviation. After the war, the airfield was gradually decommissioned before being repurposed into a motorsport venue, making use of its long, open runways and flat expanses.
Today, Blyton Park has been transformed into a dedicated track and testing facility, with a smooth, flowing layout that retains some of its original airfield characteristics. The circuit’s wide run-off areas and open design make it an ideal environment for high-performance driving, testing, and driver training. While it lacks some of the hospitality infrastructure of larger racing venues, its new purpose as a testing facility give it a unique character, offering a raw and engaging driving experience for enthusiasts of all levels.
